At East Cowes on 7th July, John Langley, ex-Chairman of CPRE-IW, handed over a cheque for £100 in recognition of the epic cleansing of East Cowes shoreline earlier this year.

The cheque and a framed certificate was presented to members of the anti-litter activists known as FAECES (Fight Against Environmental Contamination in Estuaries and Seafronts).  At the request of FAECES the cheque was payable to SAS, who lobby actively on behalf of clean bathing waters around our coastlines.

CPRE-IW sponsor many Island-based litter picking groups each year as part of the national Stop the Drop campaign.
